KING'S CUP TO TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 8TH AUGUST
Due to adverse weather conditions forecasted for Friday in Cowes, The King’s Cup hosted by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will now take place on Thursday 8th August at 1400hrs.
Members of the public and their families are invited to watch the race and prize giving ceremony from the SailGP Race Village, which will be free to access and include a 500-seater grandstand. Footage from the race will play on large screens with live commentary, and there will be a number of activities for families to enjoy along the waterfront.
If you haven’t been on a Royal Yacht Squadron start line before, tomorrow’s your chance to experience the excitement and anticipation of the golden canons firing!
Come and watch as eight Fast40+ high performance race boats jostle for position on the start line before making your way down to the SailGP Race Village at Egypt Point, just a short stroll away.
We hope you will come and join us!
